The Producer’s Corner: Coming Soon!!!
I have been blessed to have had some of the dopest underground, independent and unsigned artist stop by My Detroit HustleTV Live to do interviews. I have more dope interviews lined up. You will be hearing about them soon. After a while, I started feeling like a very important aspect of the hip hop community is not getting enough shine-the producers. So of course, I have to do something about that. I’m going to be reaching out to some very dope producers to get the 411 on the production game so be on the look out. The Producer’s Corner is coming soon to My Detroit HustleTV. Subscribe to the channel on YouTube@MyDetroitHustleTV6438 or you can check back here to stay up on the latest.
Change of Pace: Pillar+Pride Interview
Only a few people know, but when I started MyDetroitHustle.com, I had no idea what it would be. The name came to me and I just started promoting it. People would tell me they see the brand everywhere and ask me what is it. I gave cryptic answers, but the truth is I did not know yet. Over time, I leaned into my decades of experience in the music industry and hip hop until the site morphed into what it is today. But, one of the things I did know I wanted to do was promote small businesses and entrepreneurs in the community, the same way I promote underground, independent and unsigned artist, because they are entrepreneurs too, whether they know it or not. So, it felt great to sit down and chop it up with Tyree, the founder of Pillar+Pride, a very important business in the city in Detroit. I say it’s a very important business, because it is a business that brings a lot of value to the community. It’s not just there to take from the community. Pillar+Pride provides products and services that help make its patrons healthier, more informed and the community a better place to live. I had a very dope conversation with Tyree about his business. It will be dropping on My Detroit HustleTV very soon. Be sure to check it out.
A Very Dope Discussion with Ayoo Bigz
I’ve been going back and forth with Ayoo Bigz for a couple of months now. This MyDetroitHustle movement and handling business in real life keeps me very busy. One day, I finally get to sit down and get into some of Ayoo Bigz’s catalogue. One song in I realized this guy is a problem. He is extremely dope. Straight up hard core, grimy street stuff. Over the course of agreeing to do an interview and actually doing it, he has made so many moves. He’s obviously a hustler, and you know we love that. We set up to do the interview and he came in firing. The man knew what he wanted to say and he said it. I really didn’t have to do much. Obviously he’s a professional. So professional that I decided to drop the unedited interview immediately. Of course, Im coming back with the clips and whatnot, but for now, check out the raw unedited Ayoo Bigz here on My Detroit HustleTV.
Choppin’ It Up with OG Tec
What do you get when two seasoned veterans meet up to chop it up? You get some serious OG talk laced with a lot of game that comes from decades of experience in the business. In this video, OG-10 and OG Tec talk about how he got started in music and how he plans to be of service to the youth in his community. He also addresses the lack of work ethic many artists lack in the music business. Check out this dope interview in the player above and be sure to subscribe to My Detroit HustleTV on YouTube..
Jamar Langley from Season 23 of NBC’s “The Voice”
OG-10 sits down and kicks it with South Carolina’s own Jamar Langley. Jamar is a singer who plays multiple instruments. You can check out his soulful sound on Season 23 of NBC’s “The Voice” where he made it very deep into the process. In this interview, Jamar goes into his move to Atlanta and how it has affected his career. He also give us the inside scoop on how things went down on “The Voice.” Check out the whole interview in the player above and don’t forget to subscribe to My Detroit HustleTV.

“She’s on Fire!” OG-10 interviews Pretty Bulli
We had to use “She’s on Fire” as the title to this one because Pretty Bulli is on a serious run. She has been getting radio spins and mentions on some major platforms. She’s been winning awards and getting all kinds of recognition. She went down to the “Sway in the Morning” radio show on Shade 45 and spit a flaming hot freestyle live for RZA of Wu Tang Clan. Most importantly, she sat down with OG-10 to discuss all of it and more in a My Detroit HustleTV Live interview. Check it out in the player above.
“Grind ‘N Hustle” by OG-10 available now on Bandcamp
Devious One “Mr. New Music Tuesday”
The founder of the New Music Tuesday Facebook group is one of the most interesting artists I’ve come across. From working at a vinyl pressing plant to doing big thing with New Music Tuesday to being president of the Indie Canada streaming app, this guy has one hell of a story. On top of that, he’s one of the hardest hustling artists in the game. He took time out of his busy schedule to chop it up and we got into all the things mentioned above and more. Check out this dope interview in the player above and be sure to subscribe to the channel.
Keeping it 1,000 with Mr.J(D-Riot)
When we sat down with Mr.J(D-Riot), we decided to try a little something different. We had been doing deep dive interviews with artists where we get into their background, how they got into music, who influenced them and things of that nature. We still intend to do those kinds of interviews, but sometimes we want to just kick it with artists about what’s going on with them now and to get the scoop on topics we feel people need to know about. We had an interesting conversation with Mr.J about topics like his name, his straight edged lifestyle and he took the time to clear up some things about rhyming on a Dilla beat. Check out the interview with Mr.J above, stop by and subscribe to My Detroit HustleTV on YouTube and be sure to check out Mr.J’s music.
Talking “Uptown Saturday Night” with Cydney Poitier
I met Cydney Poitier on Instagram. So far, Cydney is the artist I’ve interviewed the most. I have an interview with Cydney on Instagram live from when we first started doing interviews and was figuring out the format. You can find the early Cydney Poitier interview on My Detroit HustleTV. Before Cydney dropped his project “Uptown Saturday Night” he hit me up and said “Yo, I gotta come chop it up with you about this project,” so we did. Check out what Cydney had to say about putting together his “Uptown Saturday Night” project.
