I have been writing and talking about the hottest underground, independent and unsigned hip hop on this platform for a while. Writing a blog about dope music is one thing. Making a video talking about dope music is another thing. Ultimately, my mission would not be complete until I could come up with a way to play this dope music so you can hear it. I have been exploring different avenues to play music for a while now. I have been offered opportunities to do radio shows on other platforms, but nothing seemed to work out. Finally, I realized what I had to do. I need my own station. So, here we are. MyDetroitHustle Radio is up on Live365. You can expect nothing less than the hottest underground, independent and unsigned hip hop. I will also be posting excerpts from My Detroit HustleTV Live interviews and other audio content from My Detroit HustleTV and our social media posts. You can find it by searching MyDetroitHustle Radio on the Live365 app or website. You can always come to this page to tune in on the player below also.
Piff Penny Dominating MyDetroitHustle Radio
MyDetroitHustle Radio is growing every day. We have some very dope programing ideas on deck, so be on the lookout for some announcements soon. Today, I want to talk about an artist that is fully taking advantage of the opportunity MyDetroitHustle Radio presents. His name is Piff Penny. Piff has been sending music to our email before there even was a MyDetroitHustle Radio. He’s smart enough to send his music to hip hop platforms regardless of format, just so they can get familiar with him. This is that back in the day hustle, where you sent copies of your projects to the press so maybe they will do a review of your album, or line you up for an interview or any other opportunity. This lead to us doing an interview with Piff on My Detroit HustleTV Live which has been getting all kinds of positive feedback. So, when it was time to kick off the radio, I uploaded ALL the joints he sent over. The result is, you can’t listen too long without hearing Piff Penny’s voice. We also have uploaded some excerpts from the interview we did with Piff on the station. So, tune in to MyDetroitHustle Radio to hear dope joints like “Pause,” “Talkin’ Politics,””Apple Jacks” and “Problems” by Piff Penny. Artists, if you know what’s good, send those MP3’s to [email protected] for airplay consideration.
Prop Hustler “Arrogant”
Another one of MyDetroitHustle Radio’s regularly rotated artists, Prop Hustler just dropped another joint in the inbox. He has a new project dropping June 21 called “Lightning in a Bottle.” The new joint is called “Arrogant.” It is produced by Detroit’s own Simple Cuts and features cuts by Tone Spliff. The entire MyDetroitHustle platform is a heavy supporter of Prop Hustler because he gets the assignment. He makes timeless music. He picks a beat you can nod your head to. He thinks of a concept. He writes dope rhymes about the concept then adds a nice hook to it. The songs are mixed and mastered well. He attaches the proper metadata to his songs, then he sends the music out to dj’s. He is a professional and that goes a long way. His song, “Let It Go” is one of the strongest songs to come through this platform. We’ve been banging it across our whole ecosystem for over a year. “Arrogant” sounds like another banger that will still be going strong on our platforms this time next year. Be sure to check out “Arrogant” as well as more of the world’s hottest underground, independent and unsigned hip hop at MyDetroitHustle Radio on Live365.
