Rapper/producer Big-T Beatz is a Flint, Michigan native who moved to the DMV at the age of 15. Big-T grew up playing and performing in bands and choirs, so the music has always been a big part of his life. He also was a big time athlete. He took some time off to be more serious about pursuing arena and semi-pro football in Philadelphia. He actually won 3 championships. After football he eventually ended up in the DMV as a producer and engineer.
You can clearly hear the musician in Big-T’s production style. He started off on the Casio keyboard like so many of us. Soon he moved up to FL studios then graduated to Pro Tools. He counts Pharrell and Kanye West as some of his production influences, but his biggest inspiration is Cash Money Records era Mannie Fresh.
He’s always been a performer, but decided to take to the microphone to express his perspective. Big-T produces music at a very fast rate. He credits the music for being his peace and bringing him joy so he goes all in and is able to maximize his output. He works tirelessly in pursuit of greatness as an artist and producer.
Big-T has a couple of projects, “Doper than Dope 1 & 2.” He also has a joint project with Pontiac, Michigan’s On Point called “On Go.” He says one of his favorite songs he put together is a song called ”Thank You” featuring his mother and sister. He’s produced for many artists from trap to hip hop to R&B to soul. Some of the names include Gorilla Zoe, Krizz Kaliko, Stevie Stone and Big Bruh.
