It is very important to empower our youth. There are all kinds of resources to encourage children to be athletes. There needs to be just as many if not more resources to encourage our children to be entrepreneurs. The truth is, your child is more likely to win the lottery than to become a professional athlete. Why do we have our children working from the age of 6 to achieve an almost unachievable goal? Besides, being an athlete is a job. It is a job where you have little control. It is a job where your body ends up beat down. It’s time to stop looking for jobs. It’s time to start creating jobs. If we spent a quarter of the time we spend training our kids to be athletes teaching our children business and entrepreneurship, they would have a much better chance at succeeding. More children should be working towards owning a team than playing for one. A shift in priorities is needed. Let’s make it happen now.

Today, I went to the beach with my children. I found
a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She put the shell to her ear and screamed.
There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched
her ear. She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is entirely off topic but I had to
