The OG-10 Pick of the Week is “No Lies” by Im’Peretiv, Asun Eastwood & SLNC. Canadian producer Im’Peretiv put together a sinister track that pretty much guarantees any decent emcee will go crazy on. This sample he used definitely gives me a Black Sabbath vibe. It’s one of those tracks that relies solely on the sounds from the sample. When you pick the right sample, sometimes little to no additional production is needed. In this case, the eerie, dark and sinister sample is enough to create the horror flick vibe you feel on this track. Asun Eastwood sets it off aggressively attacking the microphone with his witty word play. His verse talks about how loyal his fans are, ass well as, how and why they support him. SLNC follows right behind him, definitely holding his own with a semi gruff delivery and slight southern drawl. The emcee’s were strictly business on this one. It contains no hooks and no singing. This song contsists of nothing but raw hip hop lyricism. When executed on a high level, nothing sounds better. This collaboration definitely delivers. Salute to everyone who participated on this one. It’s definitely a gem. Check out “No Lies” by Im’Peretiv, Asun Eastwood & SLNC plus other hot joints on the MyDetroitHustle.com Playlist #19 here:https://spotify.link/cFWgrmWNVXb
