This is a hot one from the U.K. Six MCs(Conflix, Apex Zero, Menace Mendoza, Skirmish, Reain & Manage) got together to make magic over a boom bap beat produced by Manage. The video is straight up grimy and gritty matching the sound of the track. Conflix initiates a verbal onslaught with a flaming hot offbeat cadence that captured my attention. Skirmish found a pocket and rode the hell out of the beat. Reain let off one of my favorite lines I’ve heard recently when he said, “I’m in the valley of the shadow of death reading the Psalms.” After Manage closed things out with “apocalypse day today, ain’t no stopping this A to the muthaf@ckin K,” another of many memorable lines in the song,Fidel Cutstro closed things out getting busy on the turntables. If this is how things go down in the U.K. I’m going to definitely have to pay close attention in the future.
